“I don’t like crowds” how often have you said that? It’s a common theme with those of us that are on a personal journey. The physical crowding, the mass energy of people, whatever it is for you can be overwhelming. The want to hide away from people can become so powerful that it feels like a need, something you don’t have a choice about. But you do have a choice, would you like to get over the often crippling anxiety of peopling? Then you have to choose to do that. You have to decide that the fear of not doing what you want out weighs the fear of having people around you. This is the “easy” part, then comes the challenge. To expose yourself to having crowds near you, to acknowledge their energy.Being alone can become a prison sentence in itself. Social anxiety is a trained behaviour, and like anything you have learned to do you can learn to not do it as well. Take small steps if need be, slowly interacting with larger and larger groups as you go. Explore the feelings as they pass through you, but let them pass, you don’t own them and they don’t own you. Keep going, you got this.Creating your tomorrow today.
